In 2009, a dedicated group of friends conceived Shin Yuu with the focus of providing the best food and dining experience for our customers. Shin Yuu - 親友 in Japanese symbolises family, kinship and friends that we hold dear to our hearts. Loyal to our vision, we chose to serve in the heartlands to foster a sense of community with our customers. Eat to your heart's content, with gratitude, we tend.

In Japanese mythology, a Tanuki is a shapeshifting prankster, a playful creature with a big heart. We believe dining out should be a fun experience, serving up dishes that make you amused, inquisitive, and, most of all, happy. We love everything Japanese, but we also love the fun of modern American street food, so we did what we wanted to do... put them together for creations that are unique and unbelievably flavorful.

Back in 2006, there weren’t any places serving burgers using good quality ingredients, so we decided to serve burgers that we would make at home. We don’t mess with some burgers like the classic Bacon & Cheese, but we have lots of fun with the other burgers like our blue cheese, poached pear & walnut burger, the open charsiew burger and the paper-thin omelet wrapped Ramlee burgers. We know not everyone is into burgers, so there is also a range of brunch inspired dishes & pasta to suit most fancies on our menu.

Based on our core philosophy of adopting a good diet, yoga fitness, meditation and cultivating awareness for mental and spiritual knowledge, our company offers a place where one can find activities and dining options to create a modern and simple approach to balanced living. Our center includes a yoga space and a dining café serving fresh, modern fusion cuisine based on healthy clean eating concept.
