A great lunch time experience given the food was excellent ( thanks Emanuel) as was the Primitivo wine while the bar and waitering service provided by both Aoife and Liv were , as usual, excellent and friendly. We are so lucky to be near such a wonderful pub.

The New Inn means a round trip of nearly 30 miles, so it's something you only repeat if it's more than well worth it. I first came across it when I ran a walking group (various nice walks are available), but have been back lots of times since, both with and without the group. It's always worth it, and I get hoome glad I've been, if a little full! Strongly recommended.

A friendly and very enjoyable visit. Draft ale was excellent and the food was absolutely superb, very well presented and a nice range of vegetables. We only had a main so there was quite a wait but very well worth it. Definitely coming again. Well done everyone. We also did one of the walks which was very well annotated

Our first visit and the New Inn exceeded expectations. Service was exceptional, our lunches were beautifully cooked and presented and the ambience just perfect. I think this gastro pub is going to become enormously popular…. I just hope we will always be able to book a table. Loved the shop too …

We had a lovely ‘pre mothering Sunday’ lunch! It as great to be in such a busy but relaxed pub with a great ambiance. The staff were all really friendly with tie for a quick chat despite being very busy! The food was top notch. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Lovely meal today I had the Hallumi burger, Hubby had Beefburger, Daughter had the Ham+ Cheese Crepes. Very quick service, very friendly staff always cheerful + helpful. We will be back .

Beautiful pub setting, with low noise so conversation easy. Food satisfactory. Delicious rolled stomach of lamb. Bench seat a bit low. Needs new cushion.

Disappointed the Walkers menu has been discontinued and omelettes no longer available.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. I am sorry that you miss our 'Walkers' menu and in particular the omelettes. We review our menus on a regular basis however January is historically a very quiet month for us and for all hospitality and thus we find our selves having to restrict what we can offer to balance on how much food we waste. The good news is we have just appointed a new Chef so be assured our lunch menus going forward will have walkers and cyclists in mind and I hope that you will come and visit soon to give us anther try.

We liked the well-lit table by window and the welcome was warm and friendly. The food was tasty, well-presented and fair-priced. Our only disappointment was the service which was slow. We were not in a hurry so we accepted that it was a busy pub and perhaps under-staffed. We would visit again and look forward to it.

One drawback was that it was very noisy but when it's busy it is bound to be. Also starters very slow coming out. Neither would put us off and we WILL be back.

The visit to The New Inn was our first and won’t be our last! A very enjoyable visit with good food reasonably priced and served efficiently by a friendly member of staff. We were visiting the area with grandchildren from Leicester. We urge others to visit and enjoy the food and the good range of drinks.
