We are a historic motor court first opened in 1938 and repurposed in 2011 into a Restaurant, Bar, Music Venue and Artisan Enclave. Monterey Court Cafe features American comfort food with a focus on local fare. Our menu includes a host of offerings for any palette. 100% Angus burgers, pulled pork, grilled salmon, vegetarian options and even pot pies. Tuesday through Sunday we feature on our courtyard stage music acts and events both local & national, and sometimes even global. From your seats, patrons enjoy not only a great show, but a gourmet menu of dining delights, craft drinks, brews, and wines. Most seats are under cover but all are shaded with cooling mists in the summer and numerous heaters in the chilly months to keep our audience comfortable. We have seating for 245 at tables with another 50 at the bar and scattered throughout the courtyard. Sunday mornings we offer a special brunch menu with musical accompaniment.

Booking Notes:
Most concerts are held in the climate controlled courtyard. Many tables are covered but all are shaded. The system is set up to give early reservations the seats nearest the stage. After the 1st 125- 150 reservations the system will give you a table directly north of the stage. The sound experience here is exactly the same as facing the stage, but you will be looking at the back of the performers. If you have a preference as to where you would like to sit, please leave that in the notes section.

Frequently Asked Questions- Do you allow outside food or drinks?
- Our policy has changed. We no longer allow outside food or drink to be brought into our restaurant including the courtyard. This includes birthday confections. We will be happy to prepare a cake or confection for your event here with at least 3 days notice however. And as always, anyone requesting a dessert on their birthday is offered a complimentary one from our regular offerings.
- Do you allow dogs in the courtyard?
- Yes we do as long as they are on a leash and always under the control of their owners. Seating for you , your guests, and your dog will only be in the tree section. We do not allow dogs in any of the covered areas. Aggressive behavior by any animal however is not allowed and they will need to be removed immediately.
- Where is parking?
- We have room for 23 vehicles inside the Court. Parking is allowed on 14th avenue, in the alley behind our location, and on Laguna Street, however be sure that you are not blocking any driveways or you may get a ticket.
- Can I smoke or use electronic cigarettes in the courtyard?
- No, smoking or vaping is not allowed in the courtyard. We do have a smoking area located just outside and to the west of the south gate to the courtyard, or you may step outside of the fence to the Miracle Mile side of the property. Smoking is never allowed in any building or within 20 feet of any doorway. Marijuana smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property per ARS. 36-2851
- So I'd like to make a reservation for a table. Where can I get the tickets for a show?
- While most shows are free and require only a table reservation, shows with a cover charge will require payment at the time of your table reservation via this reservation service. Table is then secured for the entire evening. Once you have made a reservation you can cancel it at the same site if need be. No refunds for tickets without cancellation 48 hours or more before the show.
- What if I don't know what seat section to select?
- No worries, the system is set up to give you the best available table matching your party size. If you have a section you would prefer to, or prefer not to sit in, just make note of it in the notes section.
- How can I add seats to an existing reservation?
- You may add additional seats either to a free show or a charged show by going to our website montereycourtaz.com and clicking on reservations at the top of the page. Add (and/or pay for) the additional attendees and then in the notes box let us know that this is an addition to the reservation (name & time) that has already been placed. We will be sure your table reflects the change.

The food menu hasn't changed in quite some time. Maybe a little more variety would be nice. The chicken burger (sandwich) tends to need some additional flavor to make it more appealing.

It was awesome, If there was someway of elevating tables on wooden risers without creating tripping hazard it would create a perfect line of sight to the stage. Even in current format tables could be staggered more to allow for clearer viewing angles. Overall it was very fun and the music was great! Sparrows and the Last Train are amazing.

We loved our server, Megan. I ordered a quesadilla with a side of guacamole and was disappointed in the flavor of the guacamole, as well as the tiny portion in the little plastic cup. The quesadilla was good, but I wouldn't order it again. We certainly enjoyed the ambiance of Monterey Court, as always! And Megan was funny and entertaining, patient and accommodating.

It's just remarkable that Kelly and Greg are able to continually present such a wonderful evening of tasteful food and entertainment! I think it's great that it can be done outside, yet feel safe, cozy and intimate. Some night's the door is a little pricey for the budget so perhaps that could be looked at but overall, Monterey makes for a wonderful evening of a delicious food, drink and entertainment. Thank you so much for all the care and accommodation you show your guests, right down to the seat cushions (!) so that we feel welcome and want to come back! Not all places achieve this! We had a great time! Seemed to take a long time to get food but the food was worth the wait and we realize that MANY MANY orders went into the kitchen at the same time as many of the people there arrived about the same time.

Words could never adequately thank Kelly and Greg, the owners of Monterey Court, for the endless hours they put in so we can hear the greatest musicians we have in Tucson perform in their beautiful courtyard. All of their servers provide friendly and excellent service, and the food on their menu is delicious!!! If you want to hear great live music in Tucson, Monterey Court is the place to be.

Had a great time at Monterey Cafe... first time in Tucson. Easy park in the back and good seats with a lovely cool breeze...a little off to the side of the stage. Nice sized venue and crowd, everybody enjoying the fantastic music of TESORO.

The misters certainly helped since it was an extremely hot night. Did move to Table P4 to get more of the fan's breeze.

We were seated next to a fan. Upon leaving, the fan’s electrical cord was wrapped around my guest’s foot resulting in a fall. He required medical care to the sum 121.76$. Please secure electrical cord.
