The waitress was so lovely and chef so accommodating as one of group has garlic allergy but the adjusted meal accordingly do she got to enjoy a roast dinner too.

We've eaten at the Hotel for many years and keep going back. It's located right next to one of the most loveliest beaches on Gower. We keep going back and we will always visit the Oxwich bay Hotel for a meal or just a drink.

I took my sister and her husband for Sunday lunch as they were visiting. We all had a lovely time and the food was very good and plentiful. Maybe the vegetarian version could have the option of a Yorkshire pudding as they looked really good!

My wife thought the burger was one of the best she had ever eaten and I thoroghly enjoyed the Cod, which had lovely cripy batter. However, the chips were a bit on the soggy side for our liking. The desserts were wonderful.

We recently had a wonderful experience at the Oxwich Bay Hotel in the Gower. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed – especially appreciated since we were dining with both our dog and our 5-month-old baby. The dog-friendly snug was perfect, cozy, and comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal without worrying about our furry family member. For our meal, we ordered the cod and chips, which was simply delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh, with a beautifully crisp coating, and the chips were exactly as they should be – golden and fluffy inside. We also tried the chicken with a warm salad and chips. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the warm salad was a refreshing addition, bringing a lighter but still filling choice to the table. To finish, we had the crème caramel for dessert, which was just divine! It was silky, sweet, and the ideal way to end a wonderful meal. The staff was warm and accommodating, creating a relaxed yet refined environment that made our visit all the more enjoyable. The Oxwich Bay Hotel is a gem, especially for anyone looking for a dog-friendly, family-oriented spot in the Gower. With delicious food, excellent service, and a gorgeous setting by the sea, we couldn't recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back!

We ate twice at the hotel during our stay in the Gower. Really great place and excellent food and service. Only complaint is the £43 bottle of wine that we had (without a wine list on offer, we agreed and should really have asked the price so were a bit surprised that it was so expensive). Would recommend otherwise!

Once of the best Sunday lunches we have had in a long time. The beef melted on your mouth the vegetables especially the cauliflower cheese were superb. We loved the shared platter. Service was very friendly, efficient and professional. Highly recommend.

Loved the view from our room The curtains are very dated and they don't keep the light out around the edges The bathroom was lovely yet the sink and cabinet looked like it came out of a skip it was so damaged Breakfast was great staff very attentive Evening meal was over priced and steak very poor so chewy and no flavour But I would return as we enjoyed our stay but I would not eat in the restraunt

The service, food and views were everything we had hoped they would be. Once there, we were able to swap our allocated table for a window overlooking the sea view - thank you! We all enjoyed our chosen main meals - the best we'd ever eaten! Decor seemed a little tired. Mum's chair was food-stained. Of 3 ladies toilets, the middle one had no soap in the dispenser. Overall, this is a very special venue catering for many tastes and a variety of clientele, from weddings to walkers. The outside seating also offers incredible views of the wonderful bay, too. We were very impressed!

When we walked into the hotel through the garden, we could see multiple piles of plates and glasses everywhere, one would assume you would have more staff for weekends especially on a bank holiday, but this didn’t seem to be the case. Once we were sat and ordered, we waited 50 minutes for our starter which didn’t arrive. The staff were very apologetic and did compensate this error. The food we cannot fault, it was all delicious.. kudos to the chefs! We would love to return but would strongly suggest reviewing staff cover during sunny weekends/bank holidays, this lack of management let it down.

Generally everything was fine, and the Ivy Cottage room was nice. My only grumble was breakfast. We had selected breakfast included, yet a lot of things that were on the menu were not included. I quite fancied eggs Benedict , which was the same price as the full Oxwich breakfast, but I couldn't order it. Even 'stuff on toast' which was £4 cheaper was not available. I'm not a big fan of the breakfast fry up, but that really was all that was available. Finally, the coffee was pretty awful, and the hot water was not really hot enough to properly brew tea. To end on a positive note, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I think they were a little embarrassed about the breakfast!

Food and drink was lovely, however service a let down simply due to not enough staff. Bar was being prioritised with little focus on the restaurant. Staff were covering both services, so the dining experience was poor. Drinks order forgotten about and only after reminder and 20 minutes did we receive our drinks. Table water forgotten and food came out after 40 minutes of ordering, with other people’s food arriving having ordered after us. A little attention and dedication to the restaurant and table service would have made it a 10.

The hotel is confused - it's neither a beach bar/restaurant nor a hotel. As a guest you have to queue with walk-ins and the restaurant struggles with the same problem. There was a 45 minute wait in the hotel for food last night as they served people off the beach. The night before zi sent a steal back as it was nearly raw 25 minutes passed and no sign of it. So my dinner was bread and butter and sticky toffee pudding. The hotel is very dated with a poor layout. Staff are all very friendly just not enough of them. Shame as it could be so good with one of the best locations I've ever seen.
