On Princes Street, inside one of the most interesting shops in Yeovil, is The Emporium Cafe. We serve delicious food and drinks Monday to Saturday with an extensive menu including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Brunch, lunch and afternoon tea served every day except for Sundays, when we close. If you’d like afternoon tea, you MUST add this detail to your booking in the notes section as pre-ordering is essential for afternoon teas. Rustic, homecooked, interesting food, great coffee, amazing cake.

I love this venue for special events. Personally I would have liked a few more savoury items as there was a lot of cake! However everything was delicious and the staff were very attentive. The area was nicely decorated and overall it created a nice atmosphere.

Enjoyed the experience, clean & tidy, and service was great.
I has eggs benedict which tasted great but would have been a little better with maybe roasted tomatoes or something similar as the plate looked a little bare.
I eyed up the cakes. They looked amazing so I'll be back!

A wonderful Brunch was had with my friends on Saturday morning. The staff were attentive especially as one of our breakfasts was ready and came out too soon therefore hot cold while we were waiting for the rest of the food BUT the waitress offered to heat up my friends food but my friend declined as she was OK about it, so the waitress offered and made my friend a Latte on the house. Brilliant service, gorgeous food, lovely ambience and will definitely be going back.

Numerous cups of tea, beautiful food - the cakes were especially yummy. They cater for all dietary requirements.

The venue was delightful! I work for Mind in Somerset and brought my Men's Group to the Tea room for lunch. We were so impressed with the service, the food quality and the ambience. The style of the decor was restful and stylish, with a 1920's feel to it. It was like walking into garden conservatory, green and natural looking! The sandwiches were beyond our budgets but the home made cakes were delicious! I highly recommend this Tea Room and we will definitely return again!

Another lovely trip to the cafe and this time to try the “before noon tea” which was delicious! We swapped the blueberries/creme fraiche on the pancakes for maple syrup and it came with extra bacon too. The croissant and scones would have been perfect with some butter and jam but difficult to eat without! A real feast though and would definitely come again.

Rather noisy due to lunchtime crowd but it made chatting a little difficult. Food was lovely although the quiche was rather bland. Beautiful surroundings and extremely friendly and attentive staff. Good coffee.

Whilst an enjoyable lunch I didn’t think it was as good as my last visit. Vegetarian board had no cheese, unlike last time and my friend’s fish board, whilst it had plenty of smoked salmon, did not have any other fishy offerings. This would not put me off coming again, just no continuity.

Disappointing that there was only one variety of cake on offer. There were croissants and scones but usually there are more than one cake. Unfortunately we had to go elsewhere for a cake which was a shame. It was a Monday so perhaps that was the reason.

“Less is more” - seating wise.
