All our Afternoon Teas are handmade to order. We are a small team and to ensure we have the best and freshest ingredients for your visit we need a bit of time to prepare and order in. This also helps us to avoid unnecessary waste.
Our standard fillings for Afternoon Tea for Two are: Egg & Rocket, Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Chutney, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese and of course Cucumber! We also offer Beef and Ham for larger bookings but we're happy to make whatever makes you happy, just put it in the request box!
Well behaved dogs are always welcome at Dr Fox’s Tearoom. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead and are quiet!
Yes! There's a slight incline onto the Tearoom terrace and then level access via the right- hand doors. Our toilet facilities are also wheelchair accessible and suitable for less mobile guests.
Pay & Display parking is available on Knightstone Causeway and there are other car parks within a short walking distance from Dr Fox's Tearoom. Please check out North Somerset Council's website for up to date information on charges etc https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/parking-travel-roads/parking-access/car-parks
You can let us know any dietary information or specific sandwich filling requests on the booking form. Just put the information in the "request/occasion" box. If you miss this when you make your initial booking, you can go back and make changes using the "modify/cancel" link from your tableagent booking confirmation email. If all else fails, you can email us directly at [email protected] and we'll get back to you asap.
Our children’s Afternoon Tea is available for those 12 years old and under. It includes everything in our standard Afternoon Tea except sandwiches as we find out younger guests are happy to pinch one or two finger sandwiches from the adults! If you are bringing more than one child you may wish to add an extra trio of finger sandwiches for an additional cost of £4.25. You can choose any filling but it will be the same for all 3 finger sandwiches. Let us know when booking please!
We only accept Afternoon Tea Gift Vouchers issued by ourselves. These can be purchased in person at Dr Fox's Tearoom during our usual opening hours or online via our website www.drfoxstearoom.co.uk. Just click on the "Gift Vouchers" link and you'll be taken to our online store powered by Sumup. Please be aware that Gift Vouchers can take upto 24 hours to process if purchased online and come in pdf format for you to print at home or forward to your chosen recipient.

Had a lovely afternoon tea at Dr Fox's tearoom to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The home blend tea that was served was delightful and would recommend without hesitation. The sandwiches and homemade cakes were delicious and we were looked after extremely well by all the friendly staff. The scores speak for themselves; I always love coming here whenever there’s an occasion to celebrate. This time I’d booked afternoon tea at 3pm but was a bit shocked to find the doors shut & see a “closed” notice when we arrived. We nearly went away but were admitted after we tried the door (they stop serving at 3pm). Might I suggest the notice could say “closed -except for reservations” …

What a lovely time we had, thank you! It was my daughter's 60th birthday and the staff made a great effort to lay the table with banners and to include a candle in one of the cakes. such a lovely place! booked afternoon tea for 3 on a sunday afternoon for an early bday celebration. Our table was laid out really nicely with lovely unique china before we arrive so it was ready straight away, the staff were so attentive and very quick at refilling drinks/helping at all. It was honestly 10/10 for the tea room and staff alone but the scones, sandwiches + cakes were wonderful as well. Couldn’t recommend a tea room more :) plus they offered to bag up our uneaten cakes without us asking which was a thoughtful touch. will defo be back, thank you!

Amazing afternoon tea We called with my parents to enjoy an amazing afternoon tea, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The choice of drinks was great, the coffee was excellent and loose leaf tea was perfect. The selection of sandwiches was fabulous and we had more than enough, the scones are the best I’ve ever had and the cakes with lovely, light and delicious. The ambience of the tea room added to the whole experience. The disabled facilities were fantastic with easy access and great a toilet with lots of room. We had a wonderful time at Dr Foxes for my birthday cream tea. The food was excellent and I felt that we were consistently served and checked on - regardless of being short staffed that day! The staff did an amazing job regardless of this looking after ourselves and the outdoor customers (even those who chose to ignore the multiple, very clear signs asking to wait to be seated). Overall we had a lovely experience with gorgeous views - I do also have to mention they were wonderful changing out a few of the sandwiches for us to suit our taste! It was very appreciated and made us feel really welcome. Always worth stopping by here even for the standard menu available (I would 100% recommend the spring onion scones with Brie on top!)

Absolutely fantastic! I took my mum for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and we couldn’t fault a single thing. Sandwiches were great and really appreciated the alternative filling you gave as we requested no salmon. Cake selection was lovely and everything tasted so fresh and light! Everything about our experience here was wonderful. We had afternoon tea and they were able to cater perfectly for my friend who is coeliac so she didn't miss out on a single thing. The food was delicious and the people were lovely. 10/10 all around!

A fantastic afternoon tea with a girlfriend for her birthday. Food was delicious, bottomless tea top, excellent service. Definitely recommend and can't wait to pop in for a cuppa and spot of lunch.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. Delicious food. Unlimited cups of tea. Plenty of sandwiches and cakes. A good variety, well made & tasty. We couldn't finish them all It was a blustery day on the Causeway and we were seated near the doors (left open due to Covid) which would have been too chilly for my 91 year old father, however they kindly moved us to a cosy corner which was very comfortable. Service was attentive but not intrusive, everything we needed was supplied on the table. A really lovely experience.

We used a gift voucher for Afternoon Tea. We were shown to our table already laid with traditional China. Good choice of teas, coffees or soft drinks. Our tea was brought on a traditional stand and all the food explained. Finger sandwiches with 4 different fillings, plain and fruit scones, jam, clotted cream, cup cakes and slices of Victoria sponge. All freshly made and homemade. Absolutely delicious. Great treat.

Afternoon Tea bought as a gift for my 70 birthday by my daughter, thoroughly enjoyed the experience, plenty to eat and an excellent variety, proper tea served in a pot with China cups and saucers. Thank you ladies for the friendly and attentive service provided. We will be back!

Wow !! What a wonderful tea room. The views are stunning, the décor is beautiful and the cakes, utterly delicious!! The staff were pleasant and friendly, and very helpful. Luckily, the talented baker Alison, had just freshly baked walnut, cinnamon and apple scones which were yummy!! I will be returning again, such a lovely relaxing experience. 100% Recommend.

We had a lovely afternoon tea. Lovely fresh and very well presented food, very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful staff and a lovely view. We loved the attention to detail both with the afternoon tea and in the decor in the tea room, the cute mini scones, the jam and cream in the little pots. Cleaning was very thorough between customers. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you

We had an exceptional time and felt so spoiled. The Birthday afternoon tea was wonderful. Every detail was considered, candle on the cake, endless tea top-ups and warm welcome. They even sent a photograph to our daughter who arranged our treat. The food was delicious!! What an incredible place we loved it!!
