Our group of 9 were met graciously by owners’ son and served by two grandsons. Each of them so friendly and accommodating. The views are overwhelmingly spectacular and the food was authentic and delicious. I felt we were tourists dining in Italy. We all look forward to returning soon and will be recommending a “must go” for this winery to our friends.

We “bumped” into Gerardo while walking in via the exit! He’s a man of few words, but a great sense of humor. He led us to the hostess who was friendly and bubbly! At the bar, Nick was friendly, charming, and knowledgeable about all the wines! He treated us like family! The wines were very good, and the food was excellent! Many gluten-free options! The views over their vineyards of the mountains in the distance was amazing!

I booked a reservation for 20 for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect! It was a little overcast and rainy but we were seated indoors with a perfect view of the valley below. The wine and food were great and the staff was all very friendly and accommodating! Would definitely come back :)

We had family in town and knew we wanted them to experience the wine, food and sunset Cordiano offers. We weren’t disappointed! We shared 2 pizzas, a salad, and petite Syrah, rose, and sangria. Service was A+, wine (esp the petite Syrah) was all enjoyed, and the food is always consistent and delicious! Easy to dine family-style here if you prefer that!

This was our first time visiting Cordiano winery. The scenery is absolutely stunning and plush. The fresh mountain air is refreshing and the landscaping is gorgeous. We ordered pizza, meat and cheese board, calamari & tiramisu. We also tried a flight of wine samples. The food was beyond our expectations as the flavors were not only fresh but extremely savory. We normally go to Temecula for our winery experience but happy we gave Cordiano a try. It was worth it. I have to also mention our male waiter who was very friendly and welcoming. We forgot to get his name but he is a young man with dark hair & extremely good and personable with customers which makes it so easy to leave a nice tip. Great experience!

Excellent! This was my first trip to the San Diego area, and it did not disappoint! The views at the restaurant were amazing. Cordiano Winery is a beautiful hidden gem in Escondido that truly feels like wine country. The ambience is stunning and perfect for a relaxed, scenic outing. We tried the fried ravioli, which was good, but we’d love to come back for a full dinner experience. They have heaters, which made it very comfortable, and the service was on point—friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, a great spot with great vibes, and we’re definitely looking forward to returning!

The entire team at Cordiano was friendly and welcoming. Our party of four enjoyed the beautiful views from our table in the patio area. The Black Truffle pizza was a hit and so was the Supreme. I have learned that the first thing you should do after getting to your table is someone in your party should immediately go to the bar and self order your wine/drinks as there can be a lengthy line there. You have a choice of leaving a bar tab open or paying immediately. I could see it quite possible that if you first sat at your table and ordered food, it could be delivered before or barely after you got back to your table with your drinks. Generally, to order your food, you scan a QR code at your table with your mobile phone. A menu opens up and you order and pay for it then. I believe if are not tech knowledgeable, you can order food through a person. The food service is very prompt even when busy. Next visit, I might order an appetizer or salad only, and wait for it to be delivered. Then, or whenever I felt ready, place another order for my entree. This would preclude both appetizer and entree (which are prepared by different areas of the kitchen) showing up simultaneously or one right after the other, making it a more rushed experience (especially if you just got back to your table with your bottle of wine). Although all outdoor seating, some areas can be noisy depending on how many others, particularly large groups etc. are seated near you. On my next visit, I will take that into account carefully when picking my table. Overall a unique great experience, with just a little learning curve to understand how the various parts of your dining experience will flow, to make it the most pleasurable.

Surprisingly good venue and exactly what I had been told it would be like: a family-type place with magnificent views and good home-style Italian cooking. I would only suggest: 1) having cloth napkins because our paper napkins kept flying away! 2) While having a "buffet-type service" with visitors placing their orders at the bar, if at all possible, I would have a staff member go around the tables once in a while just to make sure nothing else is needed and to add to the welcoming "family feeling". All in all a very pleasant experience and I will visit again soon.

We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived and when placing our order. Both the penne with eggplant and the eggplant Parmesan were very good. Although the side of pasta with garlic and oil wasn't as tasty. Fresh Parmesan cheese would be a nice touch versus the packets. The food portions we abundant. We also enjoyed the glasses of sangria, but the serving size was a little skimpy. The view is spectacular!
