The Sugar Mill - a fine dining restaurant featuring fresh lobsters, the best steak in our "Steak Bar," Tournedos Rossini, Scallops in champagne sauce, pate de foie gras, escargots, gourmet risottos, duck, chicken curry and roulade, white fish as well as vegetarian and Caribbean specialties. Open six nights a week for dinner - [ closed Wednesdays in the summer season after April 1st ] from 7.00 pm. Breakfast from Mon - Saturday 8.00 - 10.00 am.

Only issue we had was communication with our waitress understanding our requests got a couple items wrong but nothing we couldn’t overlook. It’s got to be challenging for staff to deal with so many languages and to get it right. Everything else was spot on delightful and a breath of fresh air to enjoy a slice of unusually welcoming service and one of a kind care and comfort away from home. Looking forward to coming back.

Magnificent location on Apple Bay! Foliage could be trimmed so Patrons can better experience sunset. Food is as good as would be expected at a fine restaurant. Prices are prohibitive for other than a one-time dinner experience. (Fried salmon entré is currently $39.). Wine by the glass quality is average; bottles of wine are pricey.
All in all, it was a nice dinner experience, but not an overly exceptional dinner experience. Still, we would try it again for the opportunity to have a different experience.

This is the second time we visit “Sugar Mill restaurant” and it was a wonderful experience! The view, decor were beautiful!
The host gave us such a lovely welcome, our waiter was extremely efficient and attentive! The food was amazing…started with a dozen escargot…prepared to perfection and we ordered the lamb and filet mignon w peppercorn sauce which were at par!
It was my wife’s birthday and the staff indulged with lovely dessert topped with a birthday candle…truly a memorable night! We will be back soon!

Sugar Mill Restaurant is a charming and romantic gem on the West End of BVI . The food and ambiance was so great , I extended our stay by 3 days after dinner !

It was such a special restaurant to eat at on our last night of family vacation in Tortola. My son’s lobster was a little salty, that’s the only reason I’d give food a 9, everything else including the food was a 10. The reaction of the staff to us saying his was a little salty was to immediately apologize and took the entre off our check. That makes all the difference! So professional.

The Sugar Mill Restaraunt remains excellent! The service was attentive but not rushed. The lobster was delicious. The setting on the Terrace was beautiful and felt just like dining in the Sugar Mill room used to feel but with ocean sounds. We also stayed in the hotel which was perfect and we were able to have a wonderful breakfast as well. Could not recommend higher. You should eat here.

We dined here 4 times while on our vacation with friends! The lobster, scallops, filet, escargot were all delicious! The specials were fantastic as well. Bartenders were exceptional. You can't beat the ambience, especially the amazing views at sunset!!

We have booked several birthday reservations there and it is our favorite place to celebrate. Although we appreciated the singing of the birthday song we were a bit disappointed that the sparkle(not sure of name) didn’t come with at least a small slice of cake/pie that we have become accustomed too. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. food and everything else was A one.

Lovely restaurant in a beautiful historic building . The food was very good; the lobster was grilled perfectly. Unfortunately our server was completely disengaged with us; she never once asked if we needed anything: we had to flag her down. When she first appeared to take our order. she just walk up to the table and just stared till we figured out that she was expecting is to order. She didn’t clear appetizer plates away when the main course arrived, but took away one of our entree plates before that person was done. I could go on, but suffice to say she could have used more training or instruction. We didn’t let that spoil our dinner overall, but it was a factor. Other servers were more interactive with their guests, we noticed, so perhaps she was new or an exception to their staff.

The team headed by Andrea and Mary made the dining experience completely relaxed and chilled. The ambience was lovely and food lived up to our expectations (based on recommendations). Our waitress, Anita, for the evening was attentive to our needs and very pleasant throughout. Next year a few more roast potatoes and gravy would be a worthy addition to the Christmas menu.

Loved everything: the service, the food, the setting was wonderful. The only issue we experienced ? The music was dreadful. Sorry, make that beyond dreadful. The playlist wasn't just eclectic (40's through 2000's), it was just HORRIBLE.
The owner / manager should ask the PATRONS ~ AND THE STAFF (who have to listen to the same crap night after night) ~ what they REALLY want to hear. Otherwise, keep up the great work ! Just wear ear plugs !

The food never that bad, the soup where too satly I have to send it back, the drinks never all that my son av strawberry daiquiri never blended properly too much ice I av to send it back to blended out smoothly.. I send call Vicki she do a awesome job making my bushwacker thanks to my server Roshana she is very attentive and make sure her guests alright will give her a 9..
