Excellent food and service in this restaurant that has been in business since 1979. They have a salad bar that is very reminiscent of the salad bars of long ago. Everything fresh and tasty and most import of all well kept up and clean. The prices are reasonable and they have early bird specials between 4-6pm and seniors menu (55 and up) all evening.

We have been there twice now and both times the food has been average. What was most disturbing, however, was that the food was handled without any gloves by the person helping prepare our meal. We were able to watch from our table. The gentleman also had a beard without any type of beard shield to protect the food being prepared.

We are so glad you are open!
My Salmon was ordered cooked through and was not done when I received it. I sent it back and when I received food it was the same salmon I had sent back that I had forked apart! We are locals and usually eat at Chucks every two weeks and when we have guests which was this occasion. Please monitor your cooks! I felt like my first bite of salmon was raw and mushy. Since my son was taking us out for anniversary I did not want to complain! Thank you for asking for feedback!

We had company in from out of town and this was our first time.I was very dissapointed that my husband's steak did not come out as ordered! He will not send food back if it is wrong so this ruined the whole experience for all of us. He says that if you are paying that much for a steak it should be cooked the way that you order it...
The waitress was nice enough and the salad bar is really good and I would love to come back and try again but he says that he cannot do it..

Food was fine after sending my prime rib back. Ordered medium and it was well done. Had reservations but was seated on lower level next to window which was cold. Waitress would have gotten a bigger tip if she hadn't been so involved trying to get picked up by the 2 men at the next table.

We loved our dinner. Our server had so many tables but he did a good job of attending to everyone given the sheer number and he had an amazing attitude. The salad bar would empty of different offerings frequently, and some of the patrons were rude about it. Not the fault of the restaurant. We love Chuck's so much and it's why we keep coming back year after year when we come to NMB on vacation.

The food and service are amazing. The tables are way way way too close together during this time. They need to remove tables in between tables. Some are not even 1 foot apart. However, overall, sanitation everywhere, masks etc. the shrimp scampi is heaven. Love the food and atmosphere! Just need to social distance their tables. Luckily we went early but when we left, saw tables seated 1 foot apart of tables of 4-6. I know they need business but safety should be key.

We were on vacation and looking for a good meal for our 25th Anniversary..We liked the menu so made a reservation.
Nice place, Michael, our server, was great. The sangria was tasty.
We appreciated the seniors menu.
My filet was a bit charred on the outside so had that burnt taste to it. My lobster tail was also a bit charred, so overcooked. I'm thinking the grill was a little too hot or they just left them on too long.
Could have been better for a $100 meal.

I didn’t have the salad bar do to Covid Concerns. Even though they took precautions. I sat near the Bar and saw and unsupervised child dip his fingers in the salad dressing then to his mouth and then went on to the next dressing and did it again. they should have a sign at the bar No unsupervised children or post a server there to observe. I notified the on duty Manager that nite. Other wise we enjoyed our selves.

The only reason I gave a nine for food was that the rice was very dry and a little crunchy on a few bites. This restaurant is the families favorite for special occasions. There is something on the menu for everyone's taste. There are so many restaurants to choose from in Myrtle Beach but you can't beat Chucks for quality and price. If your looking for full compliance with CDC this isn’t the place. The hostesses don’t wear masks, some waitstaff aren’t wearing masks. Our waitress did and asked us to wear our mask but lots of people won’t wear them to the salad bar. One guy was on his phone talking while getting stuff from the salad bar and no mask. Signs on door state wear a mask to your table and we saw several guests not wearing any. So just be warned this place is not in full compliance

Even tho the food was excellent, we were VERY disappointed in the lack of safeguards at this time of risk. There was no social distancing of the patrons (the restaurant was packed!), and most of the servers were not wearing protective gear. We're glad that Chuck's did not close down as originally planned, but we won't be returning until the threat of pandemic has diminished.

we had a great time and the food was delicious. love the setting! the only suggestion is I always order med/rare cause I like it pink not overcooked, but its always way too rear still and I am not one for sending my dinner back. We were so excited to hear that Chuck's was reopening - but we were so disappointed in the experience. There is a sign stating that they are practicing social distancing, but they aren't - not at all.
It was shocking to see a full salad bar with disposable gloves - the gloves make sense if they are used and disposed, but our server informed us to keep our gloves and reuse them due to limited quantity. Once we remove the glove, put it on the table and put it back on... it is contaminated, it is like using the same salad plate when you return - this should be directly against DHEC.
The tables were not separated, in fact, to leave the restaurant we had to ask someone to move in their chair because there wasn't even room to walk in between the tables, much less 6 feet.
At the salad bar there are no guidelines to keep you 6 ft apart from the person in front or behind you, so someone behind me was literally sniffling and coughing directly over my shoulder.
Salt, Pepper, Sugar Packets were all left on the table and not sanitized in between use - other restaurants don't even have these on the table - but we watched the table next to us wiped down, but chairs were not wiped down and nothing that remains on the table was sanitized.
I don't know if the menus are sanitized - we didn't observe that, but other restaurants are using online menus or paper menus, but here it is the same leather menus as always. Our server even gave us our check in a check presenter, which we also didn't observe her sanitize prior to handing it to us to pay our check.
We used to eat at Chucks 1x per month - now sadly, we won't return until we feel it is safe to do so.

Practice more social distancing. Why have a salad bar open where guest use the same utensils to gather food. I saw this and instantly decided to have me and my wife’s meal to go. I ordered a steak, some wings and 2 burgers. Burgers were over cooked and the wings had only 3 flats. Server was pretty busy it a nice guy, we felt like he really wanted to serve us so we tipped him $20. Overall you guys obviously have a problem in the kitchen that needs to be addressed immediately.

The food was delicious and the waiter was excellent.
I was very disappointed in the safety measure being taken at the restaurant during this pandemic.
I was happy to see gloves at the salad bar but the mask wearing not being enforced while at the salad bar was kind of disheartening and dangerous to me.
The kitchen staff also were not all wearing face masks while preparing the food.
Between these 2 things, we probably will not return to this restaurant until the covid issue has been resolved.
Such a shame as the food is so good and the waitstaff is excellent

I ordered the Senior menu filet mignon to be pink. Our orders came and mine was butterflied. I was never told this was the way it was served. Consequently, I sent the whole plate back, everyone at my table ate their dinners. Mine finally came without my side and had to wait again for what I paid for. Not an enjoyable Mother’s Day meal. Was never offered a free drink, dessert or anything for my inconvenience. Not very happy..

Our dinner was excellent. The prime rib was cooked to perfection! We had wings for an appetizer which were delicious. We were disappointed that the patio was not open. The only thing I would change is the price of the salad bar. When you order a sandwich, it is $7.95 to add on one trip to the salad bar. That is pricey for a salad.

What a wonderful experience for our first time!
Checking in was a bit difficult ( we made a reservation and had it modify it ) the hostess seemed put off, but we had received a confirmation that the modification went through.
Once we were sat, we enjoyed everything! The salad bar is so fresh and our food was exceptional! Best
Pomegranate martini that I've ever had and the service was phenomenal! We will be back!

We went three days in a row. Food was fantastic. Waiters good except last day. We order sirloin and salmon. When we got it it looked like a child’s portion. Come to find out , she assumed we were ordering off seniors menu. So kinda got screwed because the adult portions are only slightly more. Otherwise it was great
