Chef Bill Austin is an honors graduate of the CIA, The Culinary Institute of America. He brings credentials and experience to the position of Executive Chef at Ocean One and Cabana Cafe, having owned and operated seven restaurants over the years. We had a wonderful time eating at Austin's after a long stroll around the gardens. We were delighted with the Limonchello spritz. The salmon salad was modified for me by our attentive server and the chicken, mushroom pasta put my husband over the moon! Wish we could have looked at flowers, but the live oak wasn't too shabby.

1st time eating here and we were pleasantly surprised. We started with cocktails which were perfect, shared scallop appetizer and both of us had the surf & turf finished with a shared tartufa. Everything was delicious, both steaks cooked perfectly. The waitress was wonderful and very accommodating. Definitely recommend, I know we will be back

What a delicious lunch we had at Austin’s Harvest Restaurant surrounded by the beauty of Brookgreen Gardens! Every experience we have ever had there has been memorable, thanks to the warm and welcoming hostesses and servers, consistently tasty dishes, and over-the-moon delightful desserts (especially Bill’s Famous Lemon Pie!). How lucky we are to live just a stone’s throw from such a stellar restaurant and Brookgreen Gardens!

Loved everything, including our waiter Josh! Your restaurant is better than any other we've been to in our 3 1/2 years living in Murrells Inlet. We just became members of Brookgreen Gardens ONLY for regular access to YOU. I became obessesed with your Crabcake on Southern Succotash at the Cobana Cafe, and my husband can't stop thinking about your Flash Fried Oysters. We'll be regulars!

As always, dining at Austin’s was a wonderful experience. Shawn was our server and was extremely attentive, made great suggestions regarding the menu. The food was delicious as was the ambiance. It is one of our favorite places to dine!

The food was amazing and our server, Josh was fantastic. He made the evening perfect. The additional wait staff were all very friendly. We look forward to dining there again and more evening dinner events. The only negative comment were the chairs. We said inside and the chairs seem to be losing their support and made for an awful backache by the end of the evening. We did notice the outdoor seating so are aware of that option next time.

Food was excellent as always. However, our original server “forgot” us and later on thru our lunch another server appeared and said she was sorry to keep us waiting but they were super busy.
