I always thoroughly enjoy my visit to La Cueva. There were 9 of us this time and none of them had visited before. They had nothing but good things to say about the food and the service. Keep doing what you are doing. A January discount would have been good !!

Booked for 6 people 7.30pm but hadn't realised that the restaurant stopped serving food at 9pm when the website says it's open until 10pm. However the staff were friendly and service great. The food was excellent. So tasty. We would definitely go back.

Booked at last minute to celebrate a birthday, so was surprised there was availability. The ambiance and service was a little underwhelming, orders were a little slow to be taken from tables around us, and not many of the staff seemed to smile or appear happy to be there. Perhaps they were short staffed that day? However, the food was amazing. We ordered 9 small dishes between 3 of us, and couldn’t have managed anything else. They were brought to the table as they were ready, so the fries and patatas bravos arrived first. Everything was steaming hot, (which is a bug bear for me when lukewarm food is served! But no worries here!) All the dishes were perfectly cooked, especially the garlic prawns, which can so easily be overdone and end up rubbery, but ours were just perfect. The paella which arrived last was amazing. It felt like everything was being cooked to order rather than just being reheated. We left feeling ‘why don’t we come here more often’, so will definitely rebook after the new year. If the team can just tweak the ‘service with a smile’ aspect it could be my favourite speciality restaurant in our area!

First visit. Venue lovely. Staff welcoming all smiles. Goat cheese croquettes bit runny maybe a little herb/spice to lift. Pil pil gambas prawns far too oily lacked any flavour but cooked well. Chicken wings again no flavour where is the seasoning though they were cooked to perfection. I have given these opinions as someone who has eaten at many tapas restaurants and these items are what I always try first as they are easy to prepare and yes I consider myself a decent cook. I will come back as it's local and I would like to support and taste other items. Please season and less oil.

We eat here often and it never disappoints. However we went on New Years Eve and whilst the tapas were exceptional they only had one dessert out of four available, no coffee, only instant!!! and couldn't do an espresso martini either. We'd just spent £160 in one hour, got the impression they wanted the table for the next guests, quick turnaround!The waiter did bring us a round of shots but felt a bit rushed and disappointed.

Always thought this was good value BUT was very expensive this time ! £24.95 for a small jug of Sangria was ridiculous.
