We had a most enjoyable weekend here especially enjoying the lovely ambience and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was very cosy and comfortable with nice touches like a coffee maker, fridge and hot water bottle! We very much hope to return in the future.

A lovely overnight stay with Jersey Boys tribute trio who were excellent. The rooms have been getting an upgrade and the bathrooms are nice and fresh. Service from all staff was excellent within the restrictions they were operating to feed everyone as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the beef dish was terrible and inedible - told the waitress but she didn’t return with another dish as promised. But all In all a good evening

The hotel was clean and comfortable - not modern, but none the worse for that. Friendly and professional staff. Food was good - not a wide choice, but what was on offer was appetising and well-presented. Only issue was limited range of beers as two of the lagers on tap had run out. One of those things though and did not spoil the stay.

Needs an upgrade, new windows needed very drafty, needs a good clean cobwebs everywhere. Bare wires on towel rail in bathroom, radiator not working in bathroom. Carpet on stairs worn and dirty. Staff excellent. Food OK could be better. Music nights would be good. Celebrated hogmanay (New Year) at The Garth during covid and excellent music played by local band nothing this year just a piper for a short time.
