Yes, we are a family friendly venue. Children are allowed in the venue until 8pm (Excluding bottomless brunches on Saturdays). Please note: While we do allow children we do not have any baby changing facilities and our venue is located upstairs with no lift available.
Unfortunately there is no disabled access due to the venue being on the top floor.

We had a lovely evening at Bella vita when we came recently. It was our last meal as husband and wife before we’re due to become parents any day now! The staff were really friendly, seated us quickly and took our order efficiently. The food was lovely and came out quickly after ordering. The only slight downside was my husbands calzone was slightly overdone on the top but not that hot in the middle. But that didn’t stop us from finishing our meals! Well definitely visit again

Excellent value for money. We were made to feel really welcome from the start. We had a good range of drinks and were given a 15 minute warning so we could get our drinks in before the time ran out. The food was excellent too. Thank you for a fab evening

Truly a great place to hold a celebration. There were 6 of us and everyone had something different to eat and drink and we all agreed how wonderful everything was. I had the Pollo Rustica and can honestly say it was as good as anything I have eaten before in a 5* restaurant. Tony, the owner is great fun and made it all feel special. I can definitely recommend going to the Funky Flamingo.

This is the second time we visited and it was every bit as good as the first. As you can see from the scores we thought it was excellent! My only criticism, and this is a very personal one, is that I find it a bit too dark -- I struggle to read the menu! Apart from that, bravo!

We came for Mother's Day. Myself, husband, two children, mother and father. I am gluten intolerant and asked what I could eat and the lady that served us was very accomodating. The restaurant had a roast option on the day. I asked about the roast lamb and she said she would speak to the chef. She then came back and said I could have the roast but not the yorkshire pudding or gravy but someone would go to the shop and buy some gluten free gravy if I chose the roast. I chose, along with husband, mother and father the roast lamb which was lamb shank. After the meal we all commented that the lamb was the best we had ever had, it was delicious. My two children had pizza and also commented on how good it was. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Bonus for the day was also that my mother and I eat free, it being Mother's Day. Thank you so much for a lovely meal.

The only thing that could've made our experience better was the ambience. Music wasn't particularly Italian, although I'm sure they would have changed it if we asked. Also I cannot believe place was empty at lunch time, it is a lovely restaurant. I will recommend and definitely go again.

Such a hidden gem!! Very quiet sadly which is why not a clean sweep of 10s. The waiter was so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was fantastic and so affordable. The decoration is lovely and created a lovely personal bubble feeling. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

The best customer service experience in years. Having worked in the service industry for 37 years I rarely go out to eat as I'm generally disappointed. I booked a table for a quick bite and drinks before a show . WOW from start to finish amazing! Greeting, reading the booking and knowing it was a birthday, we were a party of two and an early booking so put on a table for four in a great location, (so used to being put on a tiny table when others are empty) service was excellent down to being aware we only had just over an hour but not rushing us. Food piping hot and fresh. Thank you so much for a great experience, I will be back. One point to help would be .Google maps and the web site and post code take you to the Indian and don't show case yourselves enough when looking for directions. More people need to know your there.

Unfortunately the night we went (17 Dec), the ladies toilet got blocked so we were told to either use the gents or go downstairs. We ordered a bottle of Shiraz, when we wanted a second bottle you had run out so the house wine was suggested, which turned out to be dearer than the Shiraz. You also ran out of numerous other things. You’ve been open a few months now I thought you would have ironed out all these issues by now.

The menu was more extensive than expected from the internet which was a pleasant surprise. The only disappointment was that the jug of Long Island Ice Tea was half measures (or less) of alcohol. Perhaps we should have expected that from the price compared with a single cocktail - but had we known we'd of just ordered two cocktails.

Really friendly waiting staff . Great choice of dishes and good value for money . Great decor and ambiance in the restaurant. My only complaint would be pudding not listed on the menu and we weren’t offered pudding ( can only assume this was because we ran out of time?) but saw others were eating it. Great time was had by all and the staff coped brilliantly with a big group of 9 and even helped us take photos . Thanks

The service was excellent. The waiter was kind and polite and his product knowledge was spot on. Really lovely touch to have a free drink and a little cake. We loved the decor and the overall ‘feel’ of the place. Perfect for a 13 year olds birthday. I was a little disappointed with my food. I ordered the salmon ravioli and it was very bland. The pizza looked good so would maybe order that next time. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back.

Great venue very pretty, tasty pizza, friendly staff. Only downside was a little bit of a wait once arrived & seated before being served for a drink & taking good orders. Otherwise great experience & would visit again

We booked a table for drinks only. We were met by the door and shown to our table by the friendly manager. Ambience is lovely and the service great. We would go back again a lovely find in Romsey.

Funky indeed. Really good evening at the Funky Flamingo. Terrific staff, great vibe about the place and delicious food. Good selection of cocktails etc. Brilliant place for any occasion.

I loved our night out, the place looked amazing. Food is reasonably priced but thought the portion sizes could be bigger & my friends first 2 choices lamb shank & beed fajitas were out of stock. Pitcher of pork star martini very nice but alcohol quite expensive. Over all though we loved it.

First timers.. very quiet only one other table.. good greeting.. lovely ambience .. food delicious for 2 of us .. I had fish stew.. delicious.. my partner had a steak that was not very nice.. grisly and tasteless.. our other friend had chicken, again delicious.. desserts mmmmm excellent.. No coffee available bummer ..

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Service & atmosphere both great. Food was delicious and they were very generous portions. Wine good too! The only issues were we weren’t able to get a coffee/hot drink after our meal. Not sure if this is normal or just a glitch on the evening we went. The other point to mention is that you are asked on the booking if you are celebrating anything specific (in our case a birthday) but nothing came of that at the restaurant which seemed odd. Overall we had a great evening and would definitely recommend to friends - they just need to get the coffee etc sorted.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Food prices were very reasonable. The only disappointment was that there was no Magners due to it being missed from the delivery. Surely a trip to the shops would have temporarily fixed that!

Venue was amazing. Service was impeccable. Cocktails a disappointment, seemed watered down, and we sent the Long Island Tea back as it was like sweet Cola. Thank goodness for the Prosecco

Slow service as was busy but they need to plan for that. Toilets were not clean. It was very hot where our table was (I think was an added table in a small gap)

Staff were very attentive and it was a nice touch for the birthday girl to receive a complimentary glass of Presseco complete with a sparkler! Only negative was the fact that the deposit I had paid to secure the table booking was not deducted from the bill on the evening.

Waitress was friendly and served us well but thought it was a little unprofessional for her to be ‘chamming’ on chewing gum whilst serving us. I visited early evening so atmosphere was quiet but would be interested in coming back on another occasion for a different experience. Overall thought the decor was brill and good value for money
