So good to be back at the Filmhouse! The service and safety measures were first rate, food good but inevitably not the usual range of choices. I liked the safety of disposable paper menus and social distancing. Like everyone else, I wish things were 'normal' and the FH had its usual bustle and chatter, but you're doing a great job under the circumstances. Good luck and stay safe.

Excellent, friendly table service & relaxed atmosphere. Much more restricted menu than we anticipated, but we enjoyed our choices. The one-way system was poorly marked, which wasn’t problematic as it was a quiet time of day, but perhaps could be an issue if busy. The staff at the entrance mentioned about keeping right, but once in the cafe area, it was easy to forget that! Nonetheless, it was good to be back in a favourite haunt.

The system in place for seating bookings and serving takeaway/the bar was poor. We waited nearly 20 minutes to be seated. The app for ordering food and drink is very complicated. It perhaps has too many option. My nachos came without guacamole and jalapenos initially. It was very far from the standard I remember once I had all the bits in pointless ramakins. The servers did their best despite these problems.

We miss the 'specials' that used to be on and notified on the wall above the bar. The current menu seems to be fixed at least as far as the vegetarian options are concerned so not much variety if you use the cafe a lot.

It was great to be back in the. F/House cafe, though experiencec it was a. Different atmosphere entirely. The waiter forgot to serve the icecream order though the cafe was quiet The wine was inferior ,tasted of nothing . The menu tab not well laid out .

Our visit was spoiled by the aggressive behaviour of one of the staff in the foyer who shouted at my disabled friend when he was following me through to the cafe. Apparently he was being accused of wandering in without checking with the receptionist and breaking Covid rules. We wouldn’t have minded a mild rebuke but being shouted at was appalling. With that customer service, not surprising the cafe was empty. But everything was turned around by a delicious supper and very good service from the waiter. I would go back - if I felt confident that the idiot in charge is given some training!

Good the chickpea curry's ingredients all filling. But the tzatziki had sounded like being a dip rather than just a garnish.
Nachos are only offered either plain, which seems not worth it, or not V.
Missed draft beer: the bottle seemed smaller.
Having tried to draw together a couple of other folks during the week, + delayed booking because of it: really needed to know in advance of booking that it's changeable.
The film chromatic colours in the pictures of audiences, v effective.
When you are not fully booked, is there a time term how long we are allowed to stay? Was uncertain around that.

Very clean, Covid safe. Serving staff excellent! Had chilli but hadn’t clocked the peppers on the menu, and they were too hot for me to eat. My fault.
The only irritation and ambiance spoiler was a woman with a very loud voice working on Zoom or similar at one of the tables. It was extremely annoying!!!!

I used to be a regular, but this was my first visit since the pandemic had started. Staff treated me like a long lost relative (particularly a super friendly colleague with red hair), and also the newer (to me!) staff members were very attentive and friendly - amazing experience. Also helped by the fact that the menu still contains my beloved bean nachos, and after two years the mentioned staff member still remembered that I ask for 'no coriander'!

Staff were warm, helpful and friendly. Perhaps background music, a screen or 2 with film images and less stark lighting would create a more conducive atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. We had a lovely lunch, my friend had tomato and basil soup and enjoyed it very much. I had a baked potato with cheese and a tasty well dressed side salad. It too was delicious. Our coffees and cake likewise. It wasn’t as busy as usual so not quite the same atmosphere but I expect and hope that will get back to normal very soon.
Our waiter was great, friendly and helpful.

The food is excellent, but because we like to eat at the Film House fairly regularly - for films and the Usher Hall, we'd like to see more variation in the main dishes.

I always enjoy spending time in the Filmhouse's cafe bar - I like the relaxed vibe, the friendly staff and the tasty food on offer at virtually any time of day. They also offer great coffee/tea, beer AND wine (and you can't say the same for many other places). The only thing I'd wish for is a bit more variety on the food menu, especially more veggie options, but I understand this is difficult at the moment due to Covid constraints.

All very nice as usual .I am a regular visitor as I use the film house a lot and often meet up with friends in the bar .Never had to book before ..thats the only difference .keep up the good work !

I always love visiting the Filmhouse. Usually I only eat and drink in the cafe if I’m going to see a film . On this particular occasion, I just met a friend in the cafe to eat, drink and chat . He had never visited before - but will definitely do so again !

We hadn't been to the cafe since pre-Covid times and we were pleasantly surprised at the makeover it has had. Our meals were delivered to our table within 10 minutes or ordering and both exceeded our expectations for quality, quantity and value. We won't wait so long to return!

Thanks so much. We had a lovely time and thought you’d taken a lot of trouble to make it feel super safe! The Salmon Dukka was superb. One of us was a bit iffy about the taboulah with her dish. It won’t be long before we are back again - even without going to a film we thought you provided a top rate venue!

Fantastic staff appeared to be over worked. Running around. Very helpful but menu limited and expensive. Large meals with little variation. Baked potatoes or mid range choices would be good

Ambiance was good as there was a fair bit of chatter coming from other customers but this will be improved overall once the Scottish Government permits music to be played in restaurants again. Hence I didn't give this a full 10/10.
