I absolutely love the Beach! We moved to the area in December and since then have been at least 6 times! Food is amazing, service is great and they all handle the pressure so well. It is super popular so hence busy, but they take in their stride. Will be back

A good experience, the family loved it. Best chips in Littlehampton. It would be good if you could offer smaller potions for those of us who have smaller appetites - my brother and I share 1 ham and cheese melt and chips between us.

The Mark Wright event was terrific and great value. I did not have any food. The wine was more expensive than local competitors. It was also served warm ~ it was taken from the front of the cooler storage unit. The restaurant had also run out of ice for the ice bucket. This was resolved by the staff. The seating area on the roof is very wide, uncomfortable, rough edges and finish ~ ripped a ladies dress sitting opposite. Cushions need to supplied and the wooden seating improved upon. When the restaurant first opened the roof seating was better quality and more comfortable.

A busy place but the young staff were cheerful. Wonderful views. Our food didn’t come out all together which was a shame. The “side” of coleslaw is served in a minuscule paper dish, like the ones McDonald’s sometimes serve ketchup in! So you get about a teaspoon! We did point this out as our food was served and we were told it’s something new they are doing. I think they need to review it! We were offered more but we had all finished by the time we told this. Nachos were great - double portion was very fresh and tasty.

Quick service, nice staff, tasty food, great chips! We came again the next evening and fortunately got a table without a booking. Only thing was our 4 year old granddaughter found the kids brownie a bit too strong/dark but she loved the ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Despite being given the option to book a table on the rooftop for the DJ session on your website, on arrival we were told that tables/space could not be reserved. Not a major issue as staff were very pleasant & happy to honour the deposit paid. The atmosphere was really pleasant up there, just not enough seating/table space for the number of people. Our mojitos were very underwhelming, overly sweet and watery. We ended up sitting on the beach and buying lager/cider from the shack, which was lovely but was a shame we couldn't hear the music. Be great if you could have another set of speakers facing out... We visit often, and will be back - just thought you would appreciate the feedback :-)

The service was not consistent. A server came up to take our plates when we were not all finished. Even had to ask her to come back as she continued to stand there. The other server had no idea about when cocktails were served. The food was okay but not great variety and a little pricey for what it was.

Unfortunately a negative review which is disappointing as I had high hopes when I booked the restaurant. When we arrived it was very busy but our order was taking promptly, the drinks took some time to arrive and when they did they were flat, I didn’t complain as it wasn’t a big issue. Then our food took over 45 minutes to come with my friends meal taking an additional 10 minutes, this was after chasing multiple times. I had ordered the muscles which had come out cold but due to the already long wait I didn’t mention this. I had to request another drink order where again the drinks came flat and this time the sprite was just soda, I requested it be changed and never got the drink back. This beautiful restaurant really had a lot of potential but unfortunately I will not be returning.

We visit regularly. It’s good to now be able to book a table in the evening, as we walk down & nowhere nearby for dinner if you are at capacity. Staff are always great in our experience. We really enjoyed the food, especially the fish & chips and nachos with brisket. One of our party was a bit disappointed with the beef burger - I think he found the patty a bit small & the bun too big - minor point but maybe worth you knowing. The Beach cafe always has a lovely vibe, the service is always excellent and without exception, the staff are always friendly, courteous and efficient… invariably going that extra mile to ensure they do well he best fit you. The food is always good with very generous portions. The coffees are delicious, never bitter as some major brands often are. Sipping coffee and watching the waves pound the shore is always a wonderful experience.

First time there. Lovely friendly staff. Busy and buzzing but didn't feel rushed. Had a table looking out over the beach which was great. Not cheap for a casual meal but really nice french rosé wine served. Definitely will go back. And thinking of trying a paddle board lesson with school attached to the restaurant.

Our initial enthusiasm from the restaurant's situation, decor, friendly welcome, and menu choices was dampened by: The entry door was kept open despite request to close it, allowing cold air currents to make dining experience uncomfortable. Our waitress was friendly but our starters were 'forgotten' (neighboring table who arrived after us had main course before our starters arrived!) The fish in the Fish and Chips was less tasty than average.

I reserved a table for two for lunchtime on Sunday and when we arrived was shown to small table for two with stools. However the large table next to us had. 7 or 8 people round it which meant that I couldn’t sit on my stool. We asked to be moved and the young girl showed us to the little table for two by the wall at the other end of the cafe when booths were free. Our server came over, checked we were eating and said we could have a booth. She was very attentive at first but we would have liked further drinks and dessert but weren’t offered any. Great place to come for a drink and a snack but not for a lunch date. Especially after paying reservation deposit.

Appalling! Main courses were delivered with the starter and despite confirming it was their mistake they tried to insist we had everything together. They then put the mains which was sea bass under hot lamps until we had finished the starters. The fish was well over cooked by the time we had it served to us. Never going back!

Sadly the smell of cooking fat was overwhelming and all our clothes had to be washed as soon as we got home. This has happened a few times in recent months and assume you have a new chef maybe. The food has been really greasy and couldn’t be eaten the last two visits. So the cooking oil def needs changing more often ! You can smell it as you walk near the building from outside. It was never like this before the end of the summer !! Something has changed for the detriment. We won’t eat here again. The event was fun and well organised. Staff were good. Just need to sort the kitchen situation and def the cooking oil!!

We have a really nice experience every time at ‘The Beach, Littlehampton’. I’ve recently started reserving a table and wouldn’t do it any other way now. The food is freshly cooked, well presented and with the view out to sea included is great value for money. Rare in today’s world but there always seems to be enough front of house staff on duty who have time to give you good service. The staff have always been polite, helpful and friendly which is why we keep returning. My suggestion would be, ‘Keep doing what you're doing’.

Lovely visit as always as we are regulars there but felt this time and the last time we went the food seemed overcooked and there’s no dressing on the plates with fish and chips (ie a little salad with it or leaves - nothing at all no lemon with the fish it’s these little touches that make the presentation nice ) and the wraps too just - plain looking food - sadly all was over fried over cooked - Ie fish / prawns and calamari too - feeling tbh like they are getting too busy now for the smaller touches \care that were there in the beginning - which is a shame - the food Is not as nicely presented or cooked as good as it was - such a shame as we love it there but food is not as nice as it was when it first opened and over the last few months it’s been a little disappointing- we were a table of 5 this time for my sons birthday so 5 meals & drinks so was a bit of a shame but staff lovely as always and we still had a good time but need to be honest about the food Thankyou

The quality of the food was exceptional, portions were generous and the service was attentive and the staff all seemed happy and were constantly smiling. Love The Beach !! 80s nite. Always excellent service, pleasant helpful staff. We all (4) had mains, food was really lovely. Scampi, Pizza homemade, burger, chicken salad. Atmosphere was great, its the Best. Staff dress up too for 80s. Singer Mark A Wright gives brilliant performance, gets everyone joining in. Atmosphere is Brilliant. Lovely venue overlooking the sea, its just what we needed in the area. Love it. Will definitely be back.

Booked for 5 + 1 baby and paid 25£ deposit, no one seemed to knew where the booking was we were given a small tiny table and we have mentioned to deduct from total the deposit paid, 1hr and 15min for food then I was served a flat beer no gas
