food was good, service outstanding. Can not understand why we were the only people in the place. Why don't Lorainites support their local merchants?

My wrap was fine and the side salad was good. The “apple pie” could double as a hockey puck and need a chain saw to cut through it. The little scoop of vanilla ice cream was good,

The service was prompt and friendly. Ocean was a fantastic server and very attentive! The seating was comfortable with a great view of the river and bridge and the food was incredible. We went there for a business dinner, but would absolutely recommend The Anchor to anyone looking for a quality meal with great ambience and service.

Feeling nostalgic, my husband and I took a trip to his hometown in Lorain, Ohio, and had dinner at The Anchor Restaurant in the Ariel Broadway Hotel. The atmosphere was absolutely great, featuring original marble and classic wood paneling in this historic 100-year-old building. The décor featured vintage photographs of the area and lighting that was reminiscent of the building’s original design. We were greeted by the staff and seated at a table featuring Lorain’s iconic lighthouse and bascule bridge. We started with the walleye cakes, which had such a great flavor, accented with a sauce with a kick. Our entrees were delicious, with the freshest ingredients, and the presentation was 5-star. Our waiter, Johnny, was very attentive and made our evening exceptional. I highly recommend a visit to this historic landmark building while enjoying a wide range of entrees with a spectacular view.
Business Response:
