Vegivores started off as a street food business back in 2017 selling 100% plant based food to the Reading area.
Over the years we have grown into a restaurant and catering company offering delicious, nutritious and indulgent plant based food for weddings, corporate and casual events.
In 2019 we opened our first restaurant in Caversham, Reading, and in 2024 we are delighted to open our second restaurant in beautiful Bournemouth! We have expanded but we still offer our customers the same standards: that we create all of our recipes, we make all of our dishes from scratch here at the restaurant, our staff are family and we welcome everyone vegan or not to enjoy a meal with us!

- Yes, everything on our menu is and always will be 100% vegan.
- Do you accept cash?
- No. We have always been a 100% cashless site and accept cards and contactless payment.
- Can I bring my dog?
- Absolutely! Dogs are extremely welcome in our outdoor seating area.
- Do you sell vouchers?
- Yes, we sell vouchers through our website and these can be redeemed in either of our restaurants.
- Do you have a kid's menu?
- We like to feed our little Vegivore friends the best food possible so practically everything on our menu is adaptable to be child friendly. We have a dedicated kid's menu so just speak to your server and we will get you what you need.
- Can I just come for a drink?
- Of course! We have a wide range of locally roasted coffees and ethically sourced teas (and some sweet treats to accompany them) and are also fully licensed with a range of local craft beers, cocktails, and delicious wines.

We’ve only ever been to the Bournemouth Vegivores so it was a pleasure to visit the one in Reading. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly. The food was fantastic as always with very original and tasty dishes. The superscoffle was unbelievable!

We were a party of 3 for lunch. Our server was friendly and quick, our food was yummy - delicious and fresh: between us we had a beetroot/broccoli salad, soup/sourdough bread and Vegivores burrito, and the price was very reasonable. The atmosphere was a pleasant low buzz. Nice to see a group of younger people there, nursing mums and older couples. Lovely place, with a warm, local neighbourhoody feel. Only downside was the customer loo wasn’t working, though there was an alternative available. We’ll definitely be going back there!

So glad we found this gem. Refreshing to find a high class restaurant with ample choice for vegans. Keep up the brilliant work.
For improvement: My tortillas (small plate) were very oily, could see the oil. This was a bit heavy on the stomach.

The food is amazing, the staff so accommodating and friendly , so I cannot fact the status quo. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to offer more meal options across all the courses, alternatively a “specials” selection. Other than that I will be returning come what may!

We had a lovely meal at Vegivores. All 5 of us had something different for our main meal and we all very much enjoyed our food. Good value for money too. The only let down for me was the banana and walnut cake I had for dessert. It was pretty dry and not something I’d choose again. But it wouldn’t stop me coming again, Vegivores is my favourite local restaurant and I’m not vegan or veggie!

Friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent food as always. The Biscoffle waffles are so scrummy and I think I've convinced my non-vegan friends to come back!

the most delicious was pecan pie with ice cream. main course was tasty, i would personally like a bit more potatoes and more salad in the burger. Very much like it, definitely coming back to try different dish.

Delicious freshly cooked food that I always enjoy. I’m not veggie or vegan but I always enjoy the variety of taste and textures and like the fact I’m usually trying something new. Staff were very friendly and checked up on us throughout our visit. I think prices are slightly on the expensive side, plus a service charge added on, but I guess they reflect the quality of food and service.

I have had a few high teas at various ‘hotels’ but none have been better than Vegivores.
A few crust free sandwiches that you unusually get pale into comparison with Vegivores servings.

Absolutely delicious food, made from scratch with plants. It’s fantastic to have a full menu of vegan food to chose from. The dishes are all made super tasty with bags of flavour, showcasing how delicious and satisfying plant based food can be. The fact the food isn’t processed and bought in ready made, but instead homemade in the kitchen to order is brilliant. The only improvement I would suggest is the chairs are too hard and get uncomfortable so softer seats with cushions would improve this. Overall it’s a fabulous restaurant offering a wonderful menu.
