Wonderful staff, service and food! We will be going back! Sue was wonderful attentive, informative and positive. You can tell she loves working there and believes in the menu. The chef also came out for a chat and was full of information about the brunch menu and area. It says a lot when the staff has that passion, it resonates!

This was our first trip to La Malbec. Since Sue D doesn't work Wed evening, we had Erica has our server. She did an absolutely outstanding job taking care of us throughout the entire evening. She, of course, had others on your TEAM who helped her meet and exceed our expectations. Haven't been in the new La Malbec but previously had been to the Magee Hotel "back in the day" when it was a great place to eat dinner. I hope to be back again soon with my wife to have dinner and see how beautiful La Malbec truly is!! Thank you Erica and all who helped meet our needs, you ALL are truly the best!! Jack Minnier

A group of 7 of us dined for my mom's 80th birthday dinner. Everyone was impressed with the service, food, and dessert. Among us were two vegans who ordered the albondiagas (plant-based meatballs, which were most delicious), and they accommodated us with a vegan-dressed salad (as the Malbec House salad dressing is vegetarian).

We enjoy going to La Malbec. Food is always amazing. The service in the past has been amazing. We made the reservations on line, it asked if this was a special occasion, which I indicated that it was our anniversary, no acknowledgment. Most do. There didn’t seem to be enough on staff. We waited for a waitress, my husband asked for a soda, never received, food arrived a good reasonable time, but waitress never came back to check in on us! We had to grab the hostess twice for our bill. No dessert was even offered. When we left, I felt disappointed.

This is one of the better upscale restaurants that we have been to in a while. The ambience was wonderful. The restaurant staff was awesome and very helpful. The one and only issue we had was the rice that came with my wife's meal. She wasn't too happy with it. She said that it wasn't cooked properly. It was a mixture of undone and done rice. Other than that, we had a great experience. It was for my wife's birthday.

We love this restaurant, only complaint, how loud the music is when sitting down to a family dinner. We love music , love the entertainment you provide, but when sitting down with our teenagers to enjoy a delicious meal , it’s difficult to communicate. It seems as if it’s more of a night club vibe

Our first visit was a truly amazing experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. The cuisine was definitely worthy of called "fine dining". We took our 89-year-old mom out for a great lunch on Saturday. We were glad to have made reservations for this busy weekend with extended hours. We sat in our favorite window seat, and a small closet was there to store mom's walker. The servers were extremely accommodating and friendly. The starter rolls were delicious, and the shrimp shooters are SO good. The lobster and crab bisque was a bit rubbery, but still tasted fine. Our salads and meals were very fresh and nicely presented. Two of us had tenderloins ordered medium rare, but one was too well done; it was still really good, and not worth a complaint. The chocolate fudge cake dessert was fabulous!

As always our expectations at brunch were wholeheartedly met. The delicious food and drinks were exactly as we liked. Many years ago my sister was a waitress at Magee’s and she couldn’t get over how beautiful the transformation was of the restaurant. Every detail was well thought out from the menu to the atmosphere. When my husband wants to make me happy, he takes me to La Malbec. He knows I like to dine at resturants that offer flavorful food that I do not make at home. This past week we ate our evening meal there. Winter can be dreary but the place brighten our spirits, even as we approached the door. There was outside dining available with warming heaters, giving off warmth as we entered. Inside were beautiful Christmas decorations, breathtaking spheres of light above us and spacious rooms. We had the best seat in the house. A table with cushioned seating, stacks of pillows in an intimate nook. We began with a charcuterie board of meat, cheeses, fruits, and nuts. We tried the shrimp shooters. They hinted of chinese cuisine. Then we had beef tenderloin and roasted lamb chops. Both were cooked perfectly!! The food was pleasing to the eye. The sides complimented the entrees, and were so flavorful. Kidoos to the chef

We were visiting our sister in Bloomsburg and before attending ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the BTE, we decided to eat at your restaurant because of its proximity to the theater. From the moment we walked in your door, the host and waitress were pleasant and accommodating. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and the overall ambience very pleasing. The squash and onion soups, scallops, and pesto pasta were all excellently prepared. What a nice surprise to have the chef visit our table and ask our opinion on the food. This was the best dining experience we have had since before the pandemic. In this day and age when restaurants are only open a few days or even hours a week, and are understaffed with stressed out, cranky or even angry servers and managers, it was wonderful to find a place that stresses communication and socialization along with a relaxed atmosphere and wonderful food. We felt refreshed when we left. This is how all restaurants should be run! When we are in the area again, we will definitely return.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The Staff is excellent! Also the atmosphere! It is the "nicest restaurant in the area". The food is delicious and beautifully presented! Highly recommend this for a special occasion or just for a nice experience with a friend.

I would give La Malbec more points if I could. The attentiveness and help the staff and chef provided were exquisite. From the host who seated us (didn’t get her name), to Parker our waiter, to Chef Andres, to owner Roxana, each stopped by to speak with us very personably and to ensure we had an outstanding visit. We were visiting from Wisconsin and only learned about La Malbec from an entry in the guest book at the VRBO we were staying at. My wife has some dietary restrictions and these concerns were taken very seriously. Cocktails, small plates, main course, and dessert were all checked, and tailored if needed, to ensure we could enjoy them. We started with a Salt of the Earth Old Fashioned for my wife and a Smoked Maple Manhattan served in a smoke chamber for me. Both were outstanding…. kudos to the bartender on duty (I don’t think it was Chad). We continued with the Charcuterie for 2. A good choice to prepare for the fish dishes we were eyeing. My wife’s seared Salmon was excellent, and uniquely served with skin on and on the top-side, salty and crispy. The Salmon was on a bed of ratatouille that chef modified slightly for my wife’s restrictions. My Seafood on a bed of risotto (the host’s recommendation) was mind-blowing. Scallops, shrimp, and lobster seared and seasoned beautifully on a risotto that packed a powerful flavor punch. Dessert is one of my wife’s favorites. As chef came to check on us he acknowledged that all the desserts had sugars that my wife couldn’t have. He and my wife collaborated to devise a fresh fruit and ricotta cheese dessert that chef executed beautifully. Thank you all at La Malbec.

We had a very nice evening for dinner at La Malbec. Our Server, Maria was super & very attentive and took very good care of us. The food was great and nicely presented. We were there for an anniversary and had no time frame. However, from the start it was obvious that the restaurant was understaffed and overbooked and the bartender overworked trying to keep up. It ook over an hour to get our food and Maria was very apologetic & frustrated. Since we we not in a hurry this was not a problem for us, but for many patrons this would be very upsetting. The restaurant needs more Maria's. Our service rating of 10 was for Maria. Thanks for a nice evening, Maria!
